Membrane storage and preservation technology
Technical explanation
Filter membrane storage method:
•Store the filter in a cool place away from direct sunlight. Membrane storage temperature limit is -5.5°C to 45°C
•Remain in solution of 2% (Sodium Bisulfate) and 20% (Glycerine). This will not prevent freezing below 32°F, but the crystals are soft so the membrane will not be damaged.
•Keep new filters in their original packaging.
•Check the preservatives in the stored filters every 3 months. If the preservative liquid is not clear, discard it and make a new solution for storage. The pH value of preservatives should not be lower than 3.
•The storage time of retained filters is 6 months to 1 year.
•The storage time of dry (new) membranes is unlimited, and these membranes can withstand temperatures below 22°F.
Membrane transportation method:
•Keep the filter in the plastic bag using recommended procedures. Make sure there are no leaks in the plastic bag and that the filter membrane can be correctly identified.
•Make sure the preservative solution is labeled correctly.
•Protect the filter membrane including from physical damage.
Membrane system shutdown method:
•Clean the membrane in the system using standard cleaning procedures.
•The system needs to circulate preservative solution.
•Shut down the system and close valves to prevent air from entering the system.
•Check the system for preservatives monthly.
