Suitable for Olympia OM series oil burners and small to medium-sized combustion equipment, providing the high-voltage spark required for the ignition electrode. Olympia Ignition Transformer (OM-220 Series)
A new choice for burner ignition: electronic booster, lightweight and easy to install, stable high-voltage spark ensures smooth ignition.
Poor burner ignition will result in failure to ignite and interruption of operation.
The ignition transformer is responsible for generating a high-voltage spark between the ignition electrodes during the burner's ignition phase, igniting the atomized fuel. If the ignition transformer is aging or has insufficient output, it can cause ignition difficulties, frequent lock-up, or even complete failure. The Olympia OM-220 provides stable high-voltage ignition, maintaining reliable burner ignition.
Operating mechanism of high-voltage ignition
The OM-220 employs an electronic booster design, which steps up the primary 230V power supply to a secondary 2×5kV high voltage, generating an electric arc between the ignition electrodes to ignite the fuel. Compared to the traditional iron-core type, the electronic booster design is smaller and lighter, making it suitable for small to medium-sized equipment with limited installation space.
OM-220 design features
Compact design, suitable for use with smaller equipment, and easy to install; dual secondary outputs (2×5kV) correspond to dual-electrode ignition configuration. As the ignition unit for Olympia OM series oil burners, it is replacement compatible and easy to maintain.
Differences from other ignition transformers
This unit uses an Olympia OM series dedicated ignition transformer; for other brands and fuels, please refer to [reference needed]. Danfoss 052F series ignition transformer or Classification of combustion control devicesWhen selecting a model, it is necessary to confirm whether the primary/secondary voltage and current are compatible with the ignition configuration.
Application scenarios and system pairings
The OM-220 is an ignition unit for Olympia OM series oil burners and small to medium-sized combustion equipment, used with corresponding ignition electrodes and combustion controllers. See below for more related accessories. Classification of combustion control devices.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What are the signs of an ignition transformer malfunction? Common symptoms include difficulty in ignition, no or weak sparks during ignition, and frequent burner lock-up.
Can the OM-220 be replaced with other models? It is necessary to confirm that the primary/secondary voltage, current, and frequency are compatible with the installation/ignition configuration. It is recommended to select according to the original manufacturer's specifications.
What does "secondary side 2×5kV" mean? It refers to dual outputs, each 5kV, corresponding to a dual-electrode ignition configuration.
A new choice for burner ignition: electronic booster, lightweight and easy to install, stable high-voltage spark ensures ignition is no longer a problem. Product Specifications
